Ankara Start

So I've finally decided to start my blog, after so much procrastination, phew..... that took a while.
I wanted to launch my blog with a bang, and what says bang like an Ankara attire.
Ankara has become so popular, we see ankara being used for almost everything from clothes to even handbags, shoes and jewelries.

I'm so in love with this ankara skirt made for me by Belleza House of Fashion as a birthday present.
The Sunday I wore this outfit, I had no clue what to wear until I stumbled upon this ankara beauty.
So I put two and two together and the outcome was stunning.

The versatility of ankara amazes me, I was able to wear it with a white cotton long sleeve shirt.
And it totally worked, they blended perfectly together like they were meant for each other.
The red and gold bead necklace and its matching earrings complemented the pattern of the skirt beautifully, creating a colour flow from top to bottom.
I felt that the presence of the bead necklace reminded the shirt that the outfit was still native...... kinda lol

The black heels was like whipped cream on latte, it completed the outfit by bring the black scarf and the black band of the skirt together in unison.
The brown bag and it's gold details stepped in gracefully matching my gold accessories.

I loved this outfit because it made me feel elegant yet very comfortable.
It was a blend of english and native which made it classy and fun at the same time :)
This outfit can be worn to various occasions like church, weddings, parties etc, by adding your own twist to the look.
What do you think? Inspired?
